On Set
Yes, You Will Recreate This!
The Experience
This Isn't A Theme Park.
This is the real thing. Working with the same techniques and professionals behind major film and TV productions, you step into the role — not as a spectator, but as the technician and the star.
Your SFX supervisor has spent decades in the industry. Under his guidance, you'll learn how cinematic explosions are actually built — then build one yourself. Every safety protocol is covered. The magic stays intact.
Spaces are limited to a small group of six to eight. Expect to leave with a story most people won't believe.
-
Learn From Industry Professionals Your SFX supervisor has worked on productions you've seen. They'll walk you through the science, the craft, and the art of making it look effortless.
-
Make and Fire Your Own Charge You won't just watch. Under close supervision, you'll use a real gunpowder charge, rig it, and detonate it yourself.
-
Recreate an Iconic Cinema Moment In the afternoon, the full team rigs a truck for a scene built to match the most famous explosion in British film history — and you're in it.
-
Leave With Professional Footage A professional crew films the day. A few days later, you'll receive a professionally cut edit of the scene, a making-of, and outtakes — finished to look exactly like a real TV production.
Your Day On Set
The Briefing
Coffee. Introductions. Your SFX supervisor runs through the day — what happens, what's expected, and every safety protocol — without breaking the atmosphere.
Pyrotechnics, Up Close
An insider's introduction to how cinematic explosions actually work. Low and high explosives. Gunpowder. The principle of confinement. Then you'll make your own charge — and set it off. Whose was the best?
Rig the Truck
After lunch, the team rigs an exact facsimile of the Italian Job truck. Cables run. Cameras set. A final safety check. Then: standby.
Action.
3 — 2 — 1. The detonator is yours. What follows is a full-scale, film-grade explosion — a direct recreation of the most iconic moment from The Italian Job. Then the cameras roll for your close-up.
The Line
You deliver the iconic line, and we'll add it to your final edited film.
